We, Institute of Indian Interior Designers (also known as IIID/iiid), are a non-profit professional body founded and registered as a Society in the year 1972 to establish good professional and trade practices and ethics among its members and enhance the image of the Interior Design Profession and create a platform for knowledge sharing with members and similar organizations.

We are the sole registered proprietor of the trademark in class 42 for services related to interior designing & non business professional consultancy. We are also the proprietor of following trademarks which are pending registration in classes 16 for all paper, cardboard and goods made from these materials, etc), 35 (for advertising, business management, administration and organization consultancy, etc), 41 (for education and training; conducting seminars, events, exhibitions, etc) and 42 (for services related to interior designing & non-business professional consultancy; computer software design & programming, etc:

Our registered as well as unregistered trademarks are valid, subsisting and incontestable and constitute evidence of our exclusive right and ownership thereto since the year 1972.

We own exclusive proprietary rights – statutory and under common law – to the use of the aforesaid trademarks and copyrighted works in the logos, and no one else can lawfully use these without our express prior consent. An enviable reputation has come to be enjoyed by these trademarks which are associated by the members, trade and public at large exclusively with us.  

The use of the words “Institute of Indian Interior Designers” or “IIID” or “iiid” or any other words or combination containing these words as a trademark/trade name/trading style by any person in relation to the aforesaid business or any like products would amount to falsification/infringement/misuse of our trademarks and passing off their business and indulging in unfair trade practices.

Any fraudulent adoption, use, deceptive adaptation, colorable imitation and dishonest use of our aforesaid trademarks as a trademark or service mark, corporate/trading name and style in any manner whatsoever by any such person would be unlawful and will be dealt with severely and in accordance with law.

NOTICE is hereby issued cautioning the trade and public at large that any infringement/adoption/use/adaptation/misuse of our proprietary rights in the said trademarks and copyrighted work is punishable under the provisions of the Trade Marks Act, 1999 and Copyright Act, 1957 and will be dealt with accordingly without any further reference whatsoever. Further, we will not hesitate to initiate any legal proceedings (civil and/or criminal) against anyone found to be infringing/adopting/adapting/using/misusing our intellectual property, including trademarks or any deceptive variation(s) thereof without our prior express authorization.
