The newly created Chandigarh chapter was launched on July 4, 2015, with Many eminent personalities of IIID, architects of Chandigarh and institutions joining in the festivities. It is truly remarkable however new, this chapter from day 1 has carved niche for itself and been accepted graciously all over India. The stronghold point of this chapter is its focus on bridging the gap between Professionals and the general public. Through various seminars and lectures the students of architecture and interior design have got exposure to national and International expertise.

Its chairperson Mr. Manmohan Khanna is an eminent personality and architect of Chandigarh. His expertise and enthusiasm is very contagious. Co-chaired by Mr. Jit Kumar Gupta, Council Member of IIA and former Past - Vice-President IIA. Ar. Neerja Babbar is the honourable Secretary and Ar. Vandana Jain is the honorable treasurer.   Its executive member’s include Ar. Rakesh Bansal and Ar. Arun Lakhanpal.

Since its commencement the chapter has dedicated itself to various Seminars and lectures on Interiors and architecture and other new innovations in this field. There was an active participation in NATCON INDORE. A lot of enthusiasm is seen in the area to host DESIGN YATRA in August. And the Chapter is working tirelessly to bring Design to the Masses. To bring Education Institutes, students, architects and interior designers on one platform , various inspirational Films on ,'  Making of Falling water', famous building designed by Great Master Architect Frank Lloyd Wright,  Steven Hall - The Nelson -Atkins Museum were screened for the first time in the city which showcased the design philosophy and approach adopted in designing the building.

Its office bearers and other active members jointly make an effort to create focus area for students and professionals. We are prepaing for the upcoming events from April onwards. The sponsors have to wind up their accounts till March end, hence, they would plan to sponsor the evnts April onwards. We have tentatively placed events for April, may, june and july in Chandigarh as soon as we finalise the dates with partners. The executive Committee will freeze the dates & would be e-mailed to the HQ for wide circulation in Pan India Chapters. The updates will be snet to you as planned.
