2. PUBLIC SPACES - A & B:
( Public Spaces - A : Small Areas up to 2000 sqft ) and ( Public Spaces- B: Large Areas more than 2000 sqft ) Art Galleries, Super markets, Anchor Stores,Auditoriums, Theaters, Showrooms, Museums, Entertainment Centers, Display Areas .
3. Residential Flat/ Apartment:

Interiors of Residential Flat / Model Flat / Duplex Flat in Apartment.

4. Residential Bungalows / Villas:

Interiors of Residential Bungalow / Independent Villas.

5. Hospitality Areas:

Hotels, Restaurants, Guest Houses, Resorts, BAR Lounges, Clubs and Discotheques.

6. Health Care:

Hospitals, Clinics.

7. Interior Landscape:

Projects showcasing use of interior landscape applications in Interior layout which adds ambience and life in design.

8. Product Design:

Any product/furniture indigenously designed and made for any Interior Project. Products Designed and produced for retail market or for any built space indoor or outdoor or any innovative design details that address a critical aspect in interior construction. Products may include systems design for Kitchens, Wardrobes, Storage, Display, Work stations etc, Furniture, Furnishings, Accessories such as Light fixtures, Mirrors etc, Hardware, Doors, Ceilings etc.

9. Installations:

It can be a part of any built space. As Installations, Wall murals, Art pieces, etc.

10. Young Designers:

Designers age 27 years or less as on 31st December 2022, in any above design categories.

Hyderabad Design Awards – 2022


IIID HRC invites entries from Interior Designers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, to Participate in IIID HRC DESIGN AWARDS 2022 for Designers from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. These Awards will recognize your design and adjudge them on different parameters viz. originality, creativity, functionality, space planning, environmental responsibility, fidelity to clients brief and cost effectiveness. The winners will be announced in the IIID HRC DESIGN Awards Nite that will be held on 25th February, 2022.

To Participate your design should have been created and completed in the year January 2021 to December 2022.


  1. Participant should have their head office in Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.
  2. IIID members should not have membership subscription dues and Non-members can submit IIID membership form for membership or submit with the award entries in a separate.
  3. Entries in all the categories must be completed between 1st January 2021 to 1st December 2022.
  4. A participant can send only ONE entry in Each category, under his / her name, Each Entry should be submitted with separate Entry Form and Fees.
  5. Each Entry MUST be submitted with the Guidelines Outlined below:

    (A)Submission limited to 3 nos. of A2 size jpg/jpeg (up to 5 mb each) panels in Landscape mode only with 1.5" strip to be left clear at the bottom. At right side of the strip, you will have to put unique project ID number which will be sent to you in email along with upload link post successful payment.

    (B)
    • Panel No 1 should contain layout & relevant drawings & details with the USP of the project in not more than 150 words. The USP should be mentioned in top right hand corner of the panel.
    • Panel No 2 should contain project details**, client brief & response to judging criteria.
    • Panel No 3 should contain relevant colour photographs of the project.
    • Additional Panel on design process the practice follows (For Category 10 Only) ** Project details - Size in sq.ft
    • Location – city name only
    • Cost / sq.ft in Rupees
    • Context – description of immediate surroundings.
    • any other relevant information.
    • Upload max 10 High resolution photographs and drawing of the project ( upto 2 mb per image (300 dpi))
    • Upload max 1 PPT ( upto 25 mb )
    • Upload a short video of the project (max size 25MB,without any transition effects) of not more than 3 minute duration and .mp4 format.
  6. SUBMISSION SPECIFICATIONS FOR CATEGORY NO 10 (YOUNG PRACTICE OF THE YEAR):
    • (A) The principal of the architecture/design practice shall be less than 27 years of age on the date of submission
      • MUST submit 3 Projects (MANDATORY)-
      • Each project must be presented on 3 A2 size Panels
      • * 1 A2 size Panel extra – with information on the design process the practice follows (to accompany each project)
      • Upload 4 A2 size panels (as jpg/jpeg images) – each up to 5 Mb in size
      • Each Panel should be composed as below:
        • Panel No 1 - should contain layout & relevant drawings & details.
        • Panel No 2 - should contain project details**, client brief & response to judging criteria.
        • Panel No 3 - should contain relevant colour photographs of the project.
      • Project Details must include:
      • Design Concept + Context – description of immediate surroundings + Other relevant information and Fact File.
      • Fact File must include:
        • Project Size - in sq.ft
        • Location – city name only
        • Project cost in Rupees
        • Cost / sqft in Rupees
      • Upload max 10 High resolution photographs and drawing of the project ( upto 2 mb per image (300 dpi))
      • Upload max 1 PPT ( upto 25 mb )
      • Upload a short video of the project (max size 25MB,without any transition effects) of not more than 3 minute duration and .mp4 format.
    • (B) The judging criteria are:

      • Originality / Innovation / Creativity

      • Functionality / efficiency & adherence to client’s brief

      • Contextual reference

      • Green Practices

      • Detailing / Use of materials

      • Sensorial & spatial experiences

      • Innovative adaptation of traditional / local crafts.

  7. The Committee reserves the rights to Publish the designs submitted as entries in any Indian Magazine, the winner and runner ups are refrained from publishing their works for the period of Six months.
  8. Young Designers need to submit Proof and Age along with the Entry Form.
  9. Team of Jury members May visit actual Place of short-listed entries. Participant should not have any objection for the Jury visit. Objection to this clause may tend to disqualification. Visit to actual place is subjected to Jury’s discretion. The Organizers / Jury reserves the rights to transfer competition entries to an appropriate category. The decision of the Jury will be Final and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. All the materiel submitted for the awards shall become the property of IIID - HRC and deemed to have the necessary publication release rights. It could also be used for the publicity purpose or exhibition purpose without further notification to, or clearance from the participants.
  10. The Jury will be in two stages. Stage 01 will be short listing of entires by the panel of Jury members. Stage 02 will be one to one presentation by short-listed participant to Jury members. Venue and time for stage 02 will be conveyed later.
